SPICED PECANS

1 egg white 1 tablespoon water
1 pound pecans
1/3 cup sugar
¾ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon ¼ teaspoon cloves ¼ teaspoon nutmeg

Beat egg white and water in bowl with whisk until fluffy. Add pecans; toss to coat. Mix sugar, salt, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg together. Sprinkle over coated pecans; toss to coat. Spread pecans on buttered baking sheet.

Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes, stirring frequently and watching to be sure they do not burn. Chill for 1 to 2 hours to avoid stickiness. Store in airtight container.
