MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

The Saturday Club consists of Active Members and Social Members. Our Active Members fulfill annual requirements in Community Outreach, Ways and Means, Club Service, and Membership Meetings. Our Social Members are women who have successfully served at least four years as an Active Member. Additionally, women who have qualified for Social Member status have the option to participate in the Club as an Intermediate Member which has a reduced number of annual requirements.

The below is a general representation of the requirements for Active Members of The Saturday Club to give prospective members and idea of what to expect, and may vary from year to year.

• Service in Community Outreach projects - These projects may change and are updated on an annual basis and may include group service (e.g., a shift at Cradles to Crayons), individual service (e.g., providing baked goods for the Philadelphia USO), or home-based projects (e.g., making pillowcases for ConKerr Cancer).
  
  
• Ways and Means - Ways and Means is the main fundraising component of our organization, responsible for the operation of our Clubhouse and for raising funds for our Philanthropy. Our semi-annual Consignment Sale and additional fundraising events support these goals. Active Members fulfill their requirements for Ways and Means by working the Consignment Sale as well as other fundraising events and projects such as the Cotillion.
  
  
• Club Service - Active Members fulfill this requirement by serving on different Club Service committees throughout the year. These may include participating in our monthly Tea Table, serving on the Clubhouse Committee to help beautify the Clubhouse and grounds, Membership Committee, Philanthropy Committee, and other opportunities.
  
  
• Monthly Membership Meetings - Active Members are required to attend a minimum of five monthly membership meetings from September through May.
  
  
• Annual Membership Dues - Members must pay the required dues for the coming year by the end of June of the preceding year.

New Members are inducted in January and May of each year. Our January inductees have a pro-rated Membership Dues for the half-year, and reduced requirements in Community Outreach and Ways and Means when they first join. New Members are required to purchase a copy of Main Line Entertains at the current selling price.
