FUNDRAISING
Fundraising is a vital part of the Saturday Club. The money we raise funds our philanthropic efforts, operating expenses and capital expenses. The women in the club work throughout the year on projects both large and small so that we can attain our financial goals.
Our largest project is the American Girl Fashion Show, now in its 6th year. This dynamic event has allowed us to give over $400,000 to worthy children's charities and requires the attention and devotion of every single member of the club.
Every year as school begins the club is putting the finishing touches on one of the area's oldest and most well attended Cotillion Classes for 150 local fourth and fifth graders. The classes begin in October and run through January, and are all held at our historic Clubhouse in Wayne.
In October of each year we also participate in the Shopping Benefit Charity Day at Bloomingdale's. This is a fun day and the club always performs extremely well and is regularly considered to be one of the top 5 grossing organizations involved.
