ABOUT THE SATURDAY CLUB

Women with a purpose. These are the women of The Saturday Club. We are mothers, sisters, friends, and daughters - all working and volunteering together to help others by providing direct service and philanthropic support to charitable organizations in the greater Philadelphia area.

Some of us are homemakers, some are career women; the Club provides opportunities for each. We all join together to achieve the goal of giving back to our community while enjoying the camaraderie of friendship and expanding our interests in the process.

The Saturday Club consists of up to 150 Active Members, and approximately 50 Social Members, who wish to participate in both the philanthropic and social facets of the organization. Our Active Members fulfill annual requirements in Community Outreach, Ways and Means, Club Service, and Membership Meetings; our Social Members are women who have successfully served at least four years as an Active Member.

While there are numerous and varied community outreach projects from which to choose, the Club also hosts a wonderful mix of ladies-only, couples, and family events to provide everyone - spouses, children, as well as members - with opportunities to enjoy the company of longtime friends and to make new acquaintances.

From September through May, the Club meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:15pm in our historic Clubhouse at 117 West Wayne Avenue in Wayne, Pennsylvania. A brief social time is followed by the business meeting and program. Club meetings are always open to guests.
